Interim access can be defined with this sentence: "Get connected immediately, while you wait for your fibre installation to take place.

But what do we mean by that?

If you didn't know, where you live you might have one or multiple different Fibre Network Operators (We will now refer to them as FNO's). FNO's supply the fibre to your home and ISP's supply the fibre/internet connection into your house.

Sometimes you might want Vodacom as the ISP but Vumatel is the FNO. What this means is that it might take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks for your fibre to be installed into your house.

Vodacom saw this as an opportunity to stand out from all of the other ISP's and offer LTE While You Wait. This is a service where whithin 3 days Vodacom will deliver your router and LTE dongle with Uncapped data, to your house, for free!

This is valid for a month, so while you wait for the fibre to be insalled which may take anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks, you will be connected within 3 days at no cost whatsoever.

Should your fibre installation not happen within a month's time you just pay pro-rata for the second month that you use the service.
